The Surrealist Manifesto was written in 1924 by André Breton and then signed by such artists as Louis Aragon, Antonin Artaud, Jacques Baron, Joe Bousquet, J.-A. Boiffard, Jean Carrive, Rene Crevel, Robert Desnos, Paul Elaurd, Max Ernst, and Breton himself. Released to the public on January 27th 1925.

my top 5 albums of 2010
happy new year! time to look back on 2010. let me preface this by saying that this was rather difficult, since much of my favourite “new” music i’ve been listening to this year did not actually come out in 2010. of the ones that did, however, here are my picks.
1. secret cities - pink graffiti
hands down the best thing all year in terms of music.

looking down when i’m getting undressed for bed and seeing my oxbow tattoo, wonderfully imperfect and permanent.
also in other news i’m going to start my moss graffiti stencils soon, just got to pick up some plastic. thinking of just doing the word ‘lovely’ in a nice font - something easily legible and pleasant, nothing graffiti-ish. perhaps i’ll add a small graphic...

i don’t know what this is, but i love it. apparently the music is from the song “and i’m gone” by prefuse 73 (whom i’ve never heard of but am going to check out now. check out the tumblr of the person who made this here.
